Construction of new footbridge at Milltown, Crossroads, Killygordon, Co. Donegal

Tender description

It is proposed to construct a new footbridge at Milltown, Crossroads, Killgordon, Co. Donegal. The bridge will be located to the west of the existing road bridge and will generally follow a direct line from the end of the existing footpath on Creamery Road to the proposed footpath on Mollenan Road. The proposed bridge structure will take the form of cellular beams supporting a profiled steel deck which will be infilled with concrete to create a durable deck surface which will also act as lateral restraint to the bridge beams. Vertical steel parapets will provide guarding to the bridge and the adjoining approach ramps. The existing eircom pole on the north side will remain in its current location and the approach path has been designed around the pole and associated wire stays
