Lot 1 - Small Land Drainage & Soft Landscaping Works Lot 2 - Underground Investigation Works Lot 1: Lot 1 - Small Land Drainage & Soft Landscaping Works Small Land Drainage & Soft Landscaping Works (Lot 1) The works comprise the provision of labour, machinery, and equipment to undertake the following: - The repair and replacement of land drainage systems within West Lothian including tenant’s gardens. - The installation of new drainage within tenant’s gardens to alleviate flooding problems. - The repair and replacement of small land drainage systems - The installation of new small land drainage systems including filter drains. - The installation of new land drainage systems including the construction of retrofit sustainable drainage systems. - The reforming of ditches including roadside ditches - The uplift, haulage and tipping of bulk materials including bark, manure, topsoil, sub-soil, blaes, aggregates. - The scavenging and maintenance of watercourses. - The cultivation, levelling and seeding of ground. - The cutting of vegetation in and around watercourses. - The movement of plant and equipment. - Assistance with flooding emergencies. - The filling, hauling and use of a water bowser. - The displacement of water using pump and bowser. Lot 2: Lot 2 - Underground Investigation Works Underground Investigation Works (Lot 2) To locate above ground, underground and closed surface water drainage systems; and to locate on a scaled ordnance survey plan provided by the Employer: - to jet or vacuum in-curtilage foul and surface water drainage systems within the curtilage of various council premises and within the curtilage of premises leased and or rented by the Council including business and domestic premises; - to jet and or vacuum as appropriate underground closed surface water drainage systems including: culverted watercourses using appropriate machinery and equipment to facilitate the progress of CCTV assessments and to otherwise restore flow and to dispose of arisings, including water; - to carry out assessments of culverted watercourses and drains with closed-circuit television cameras and to probe these structures providing accurate marked-up Ordnance Survey plans showing the route of the structure; - to provide reports to the Client in respect of the structural condition of underground, closed, surface water, drainage systems, including culverted watercourses; - to decant, pump and empty underground, closed, surface water drainage systems, including culverted watercourses, silt traps, tanks, and inspection chambers and to dispose of waste materials including water; - the displacement of floodwaters to minimise the effects of flooding on property; - the provision of a road gully cleaning service to augment that provided by the Employer’s own direct labour organisation; - the washing down of hard surfaces contaminated with sediment or other types of pollution; and - the provision of an out-of-hours call-out service to provide any or all of the above services 24-hours per day, 7-days per week, 365-days per annum as required.
