Upgrade of Real Time Digital Simulator

Tender description

This Voluntary Ex-Ante Transparency (VEAT) notice relates to the upgrade of an existing Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) at the University of Strathclyde Power Network Development Centre (PNDC). The contract duration is estimated to be for an initial 15-month period inclusive of lead time and 12 month warranty after delivery and commissioning. The University intends to award this contract under the conditions of regulation 33.4.b of the Public Contracts (Scotland) regulations. This Contract will include an upgrade of an existing system already on site, the upgrade will include but not be limited to; - Part exchange of RTDS old processor cards (x22 PB5) with newer version. - Part exchange of RTDS old communication interface cards (x2 GTNET, x6 GTWIF) with newer version. - Addition of new high-speed 2x GTFPGA interface. - PNDC retains analogue and digital I/O cards, GTSYNC time synchronisation cards and global bus hub for processor coordination.
