Powys Local Development Plan Settlement Audit

Powys County Council is seeking bids from organisations to undertake a ‘Settlement Audit’ for the Powys Local Planning Authority (LPA) Area. The Settlement Audit will be used as evidence to inform the review of the Powys Local Development Plan (LDP) (2011-2026) which is due to formally commence summer 2022.The ‘Settlement Audit’ will consider the following for each settlement:1. Previously Developed Land Opportunities2. Transport Opportunities3. Infrastructure Capacity4. Services and Facilities / Retail Catchments5. Employment Provision6. Open Space / Green Infrastructure (checking existing dataset)7. Environmental Capacity (Strategic Constraints)8. Character9. Community AspirationThe settlements to be considered are those that are identified as Towns and Large Villages in the LDP settlement hierarchy; this includes fifteen Towns and forty-three Large Villages.
