Tender description
In May 2017 the government changed the way it funds apprenticeships in England. Some employers are required to contribute to a new apprenticeship levy, and there have been changes to the funding for apprenticeship training for all employers. Sheffield City Council will act as both an employer of apprentices and the provider of apprenticeship training for them. Therefore it is seeking to sub-contract delivery of a range of apprenticeships which will be determined by the emerging needs of the organisation. In addition the Council will also seek to deliver apprenticeship training provision to external organisations and support may be sought through the contractual arrangements that we are seeking to enter.
