Tender description

<p>This project is for the replacement of the torsion arm berthing fender unit BD3 at 2 Berth. The works generally comprise: • Removal of the existing fender unit using marine plant. • Supply of replacement fender unit. • Preparation and installation of the replacement fender unit using marine plant. The typical construction detail of the BD3 fender unit is detailed on drawing number DGE-8517-13-RevD. Fender unit BD3 is installed on the berth at 2 Berth, which serves the Stena Superferries operating on the Harwich-Hoek van Holland route. The berth is occupied daily between 05:15-09:00 and 19:45-23:00 so berth availability to carry out this work will be between 09:00-19:45. It should be noted that the work is within tidal waters.
