Tender description
This PIN is being published to alert the marketplace to a pending HSE procurement requirement. The HSE wishes to establish on behalf of National University Ireland Galway (NUIG), the number of Suppliers who have the capability and capacity for the supply of an Automated Patch Clamp for high throughput ion channel physiology, as of the date for return of responses to this PIN (i.e. 17/5/2022 @12:00hrs) General Requirements A fully automated patch clamp system capable of multiple recording mode with the capacity to record from a minimum of 4 cells & expandable to 8 cells simultaneously. A fully automated patch clamp system that is robot controlled for cell & drug delivery to the experimental environment minimising the potential for human error. The system should be built on best in class electrophysiology amplifiers. The software environment must be easy to use, flexible, adaptable and familiar. The system must be self-contained without the requirement for additional installations either to the building or additional equipment i.e. no requirement for vacuum lines to be installed in the building or additional standalone vacuum equip. Specification Requirement The system must be able to allow Liquid junction potential correct & access to all common modes of Patch clamp recording (Cell attached, Whole cell, Current-Clamp, Inside-out & outside-out). The system should have built in filtering options from 10-100kHz at least. The system should allow for low frequency voltage clamp & have a selection of current clamp scaling options. Performance Requirements The system must be low noise in recording modes & have excellent usability. The software control & analysis environment must be established & have a history >5 years of performance in electrophysiology measurement & analysis. 2.4 Installation and Training Requirements Training must be provided at installation, plus full assay development support during 1st year after installation
