Researching a Shared Mental Model of High Performance Athlete Pathways in Irish Sport

In 2020 Sport Ireland commissioned a piece of research on the transition of high performance athletes from junior to senior competition. This research highlighted a number of challenges and opportunities in high performance athlete pathways in Ireland. The research also made a number of recommendations including the development of a shared mental model of high performance athlete pathways in Ireland. This body of research also provides an underpinning literature review for this current project. This document can be shared with the organisation who is awarded this tender for further reading and understanding to the project needs. Sport Ireland now wish to commission a project to research the development of a shared mental model of high performance athlete pathways in Ireland. Two lots are included within this tender. · Lot 1 focuses on the literature review, co-creation of a shared mental model and research report. · Lot 2 focuses on the production of a shared mental model toolkit and resources Lot 228843: Shared Mental Model Development 1. Completion of a literature review of international best practice in the development, promotion and adoption of shared mental models of high performance athlete pathways. 2. Delivery of a broad mixed methods body of research to co-create a shared mental model of high performance athlete pathways in Ireland by engaging, challenging and involving stakeholders throughout the process 3. Production of a research report. Lot 228845: Shared Mental Model Resources 1. Production of a toolkit and resources for the dissemination, promotion and adoption of the shared mental model by the Irish sports sector.
