Tender description

The service will identify and support adult carers to have the support they need to assist them in their caring role and to prevent carer breakdown. The service will also support carers to look after their own health and wellbeing and have time away from their caring role. The tender was split into 2 lots: Lot 1 - Adult Carers Support Service (3 year initial + optional 2 x 1 year extensions) Lot 2 - Parent Carers Support Service (1 year initial + optional 4 x 1 year extensions) . Lot 1: Adult Carers Support Service The service will identify and support adult carers to have the support they need to assist them in their caring role and to prevent carer breakdown. The service will also support carers to look after their own health and wellbeing and have time away from their caring role Lot 2: Parent Carers Support Service The Service will contribute to the success and priorities of Bristol’s Carers’ Strategic Priorities 2021-2025; in particular that people in caring roles are: • Identified, recognised, respected and valued for their caring role. • Offered an assessment of need which supports all aspects of development including; aspirations, mental and physical health, emotional wellbeing and transition planning. • Able to access a range of diverse activities, support services and information for themselves and the person they care for. • To be heard (their opinions, views and needs) on issues, services and policies which affect them and the person they care for.
