Tender description

***THIS ADVERT IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT ONLY*** NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU on behalf of NHS Birmingham and Solihull CCG are looking to appoint suitably experienced and qualified providers to provide Adult and Young Peoples' Autism Assessments. It is envisaged that a number of providers will be appointed to a framework, possibly on the basis of an Any Qualified Provider (AQP) agreement. The service being commissioned is for adults and young people (16+ in Birmingham and 18+ in Solihull) who are registered with a Birmingham or Solihull GP. The autism assessment service will provide a comprehensive diagnostic report that will support onward referrals and signposting. The assessment team will be made up of appropriately skilled health professionals to enable the effective and timely diagnosis of autism. There will be no specific emergency or out of hours provision for this group of Service Users. Co-morbid mental health problems may arise and these may require an emergency response through the usual out of hours/emergency services as commissioned for Birmingham and Solihull. In order to best understand what the market is able to offer, the CCG is looking to run a market engagement event on Tuesday, 24th May at 10:00am. This will be a virtual event, facilitated via Microsoft Teams. Interested organisations should ensure they express an interest by completing the relevant expression of interest form which can be found on NHS Arden and GEM CSU's EU Supply portal. Interested parties will also be able to access the draft service specification which they are welcome to comment on. A survey can also be found for completion which will inform certain aspects of the market engagement event. In addition to this, interested parties may choose to book one-to-one sessions with the Commissioners following on from the event. 20 minute slots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis with sessions intended to start at around 11:10 am with the final slot at 4:10pm.
