Tender description
Avon Fire Authority has identified the need to replace our Hovercraft and Transport Vehicle. The Authority is looking to procure a suitable Amphibious Vehicle, Transport Vehicle and associated services, parts and training. The new Amphibious Vehicle must be able to perform bay rescues in our Service area. Lot 1: The procurement will include the new Amphibious Vehicle and associated services, parts and training. The new Amphibious Vehicle must be able to: • conveyance across nonporous surfaces, sand, mud and water • rescue casualties from a marine environment which includes sand, water, mud, and rock, mainly Weston Bay. The replacement Transport Vehicle may be included in the procurement, depending upon market appetite, availability and Service requirements.
