NHSGG&C seek an organisation that will enable those who have used mental health services to support and engage with other service users, whose experience of mental health services influences the quality and content of care and treatment provided within NHSGG&C. This contract will ensure the ability of service users to be able to influence services and to be adequately supported to do so. We are looking to develop these services through working in partnership with the successful supplier, to support the development of peer engagement. The budget will be disclosed and the bidders will be required to demonstrate that they will: Provide involvement and empowerment support for users so that they can express views about the health service Actively seek opportunities for users to be involved in the strategic decision making and delivery, and will provide training, monitoring and confidence building services. They will encourage a culture within statutory services of routinely involving users. Involving users in policy, strategic planning and decision making will be achieved by supporting groups of users wishing to raise concerns, service user representatives and peer led groups acting as consultative bodies.
