Replacing radiators and pipework on first and second floors of school building.

Tender description

The existing space heating services on the first and second floor to be replaced. This section includes for radiators and all associated pipework feeding the school. Radiators of the type and size shown in the Schedules bound in at the end of the Specification shall be supplied and erected in the locations specified. Radiators shall generally be the sheet steel panel type. Radiators shall be mounted at such a height from the floor as to provide a clear space of 150mm between the bottom of the radiator and the floor. All rooms are provided with individual room temperature control by means of two port motorized valves that are fed from a local user controlled temperature stat. The Main contractor shall include for an expansion vessel and a pressurisation/auto-fill unit within the boiler house. ALL heating distribution pipework MUST be provided with one coat of red oxide paintwork prior to fitting insulation. Failure to provide this paintwork prior to insulation will result in the removal of insulation for painting. All exposed (visible) pipework shall be painted with one undercoat and an overcoat to the colour agreed with the Employer’s Representative. All exposed Pipework within rooms shall be painted with a finishing paint coat to a colour selected by the architect. The work covers painting the all ceilings 522 metre squared at the first floor after heating pipework installation. Lot 242389: Replacing radiators and pipework on first and second floors of school building. Tenders must be submitted no later than 12 noon, May 27th. Site visit can be arranged for May 16th.
