ESB Freight and Custom Clearance Services

Tender description

The Contracting Entity intends to procure a framework agreement for the provision of Freight and Customs Services. Which will broadly involve the following: • Shipping of materials purchased Ex-Works • Shipping of items being exported • Domestic Deliveries • Customs Clearance associated with above • Warehousing as required It is proposed that the Contract will provide freight services to ESB, involving the collection of materials from suppliers around the world for delivery to ESB locations throughout the Republic of Ireland. The service will also include customs clearance at Irish ports where required, and also occasional ESB exports to suppliers worldwide. Lot 1: Europe – Air/Sea/Road Transport Agency Services (EU including accession states, UK & Turkey) Air/Sea/Road Transport Agency Services (EU including accession states & Turkey). Also includes domestic deliveries between ESB Locations within Ireland, and deliveries between ESB facilities in Ireland and the UK. Lot 2: USA – Air & Sea Transport Agency Services Air, Sea and occasionally Road Transport Agency Services deliveries are often to port so there will be a requirement for delivery from Port to ESB locations. Lot 3: The Rest of the world – Air & Sea Transport Agency Services Air, Sea and occasionally Road Transport Agency Services deliveries are often to port so there will be a requirement for delivery from Port to ESB locations.
