Delivery and coordination of the Upcycle Challenge 2022

The Connacht Ulster Regional Waste Management Office on behalf of the 3 regional waste management offices, namely, Connacht Ulster, Eastern Midlands and Southern Region is seeking to engage a company or organisation who will develop, co-ordinate and deliver the 2022 Upcycle Challenge Competition. This competition will promote reuse, refurbishment, upcycling and up-styling amongst Irish citizens and build on Upcycling Challenge activities undertaken in previous years. Delivery of the project will include promotion of the ● National promotion of upcycle challenge – June ’22 – Mid October ’22, locally, regionally and nationally; ● Management of all entries – closing date mid October; ● Evaluation of entries including establishing a judging panel (in conjunction with RWMO personnel); ● Notification of winners; ● Organise award ceremony during EWWR 2022, the format of which to be agreed; ● Presentation carousel of entries & winning entries; ● Provide component content and structure; ● Preparation of press releases, social media contact etc. ● Liaison with stakeholders; ● Raise the profile of the Upcycle Challenge through enhanced engagement with local, regional and national press; ● Liaise with Local Authorities – sharing of promotional materials; ● Competition prizes will be provided separately by RWMO’s & EPA. Awards Ceremony to take place during EWWR and consideration will be given to the current public health situation in autumn 2022. As the project is being delivered on behalf of 3 regional waste management offices, the awarded supplier will be required to provide 3 invoices, one to each regional office, for payment. Guidance will be provided.
