Provision of an Inpatient and Outpatient Mental Health Service

Tender description

This Prior Information Notice is to alert the market that the Authority shall have a requirement for the provision of occupationally focused high-quality mental health service to Service personnel and entitled eligible civilians deemed to require an inpatient assessment, or a period of stabilisation and treatment (and in some cases (< 10 per annum) under 18’s). Within the contract the Authority will request outpatient psychotherapy services, of largely high intensity therapy, averaging a rolling 116 referrals. Lot 1: As an estimate, the Authority will request outpatient psychotherapy services, of largely high intensity therapy, averaging a rolling 116 referrals. It is envisaged that the inpatient and outpatient service provision will complement the existing Defence Departments of Community Mental Health. It will be essential that partnership working between the Tenderer and the appropriate Service Authorities is rapidly established. Patients will require to be assessed and admitted within specified timeframes to a location that is as close as possible to the patient’s unit or home, if clinically, whichever is closer or, if applicable, to a location specialising in the management of particular mental health problems/or as specified by the Referring Officer. The General scope of the requirement is limited to assessment and basic treatment to achieve mental state stabilisation (or detoxification) as appropriate for inpatient care. For outpatient provision this will be in the form of 12 session blocks of a specific intervention. Additional information: As part of the Tender process, the Authority shall visit the Tenderer's premises (at time to be agreed between the Authority and the Tenderer) for the purposes of assessment / evaluation of the facilities. If this is not possible then a live virtual tour shall be required.
