NHS Barnsley CCG : Primary Care Vasectomy Service Non Scalpel

A community based Vasectomy Service, triaging all referrals from GP practices within Barnsley. If the referral is accepted, the patient will have a first appointment within a maximum of 12 weeks, from the initial referral. <br/><br/>All providers wishing to deliver this service must meet both service specific and core standards applicable. Lot 1: The aims and objectives of the service: <br/><br/>• To provide patients with a high quality one stop Primary Care Vasectomy Service offering counselling, treatment and post-operative care in a setting close to home, key focus on improving access via choice and patient convenience<br/>• Improving patient experience, clinical outcomes and robustness of Vasectomy Services<br/>• Develop and enhance Patient Pathways within Primary Care<br/>• Appropriately manage demand in Primary Care <br/>• To ensure that 18 week referral to treatment targets are met <br/>• Promote the development of specialisation in primary care <br/><br/>The contract will be a three year duration. The estimated contract is £324,000. As this is an Any Qualified Provider ( AQP) contract there is no guarantee on activity or income
