Safer Wirral Partnership contribution towards the continuation of Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service Street Intervention Team. This is a Team who conduct weekend street interventions across Wirral's hot spot areas suffering from anti-social behaviour including secondary fires and to assist to divert into prevention services/Fire Service cadets and identify any environmental referrals. This Team has been active for the past 2 years which Wirral Council has contributed towards - last year via Covid funding with the Team assisting to promote Covid prevention messages and to support the education and prevention around the Council's Public Spaces Protection Orders.
