Data Analytics Services for UCC Career Services

The objectives of UCC Careers Services include a focus on delivering the most dynamic and valuable data insights for both the current and future planning of the Career Services operations, and to provide up-to-date labour market Information/data reports on skills trends to students and graduates looking to decide on their next steps, whether that is into industry or further education. Each year UCC Career Services gathers data relating to career-based interventions at numerous points in the student cycle. These include bespoke career education workshops & talks, employer led workshops, employer fairs, student 1 to 1 career coaching sessions, student career coaching workshops, work integrated learning indicatives such as work placement, internships, employer collaborations. We also run a Career Services specific award that covers activities for up to 600 students – the Employability Award. We would like to avail of advanced software data analytics services to track our long-term success in our initiatives. This would involve using data from student registrations and programmes, data of engagement with career service, and data following graduation, to create a picture of the outcomes. We would like to link these to current labour market data and predictions, so that we can attempt to plan and anticipate future student development needs.
