Civil Design Consultancy Service to design quay wall repairs and additional works

Tender description

Donegal County Council proposes to appoint a design consultant to develop the preliminary piled wall design solution identified in the above report through the detailed design , tender action, construction supervision and handover stages as identified in the Form of Tender and Schedule document provided. It is proposed that these works would be delivered under phase 1 on the development. Under this appointment Donegal County Council would request that the consultant also develops a design solution for the area identified to the east of phase 1 including the widening and lengthening of the existing slipway and construction of a bank seat to accommodate a future pontoon development, shown on the attached Tender Plan in the Information Folder, as phase 2 of the development. It is hoped that by completing the design of phases 1 and 2 concurrently that continuity in design approach can be achieved. It is envisaged that phase 2 will be delivered later than phase 1, subject to funding.
