Synopsis & Brief - Characterisation of particle size and zeta potential in the food and drink industry is key in understanding production, handling, formulation, processing, shelf life and quality control of ingredients. Particle sizing for powders, emulsions and suspensions can be analysed using laser diffraction systems. Integrated image analysis systems allow for the visualisation of the physical properties of each single particle. Zeta potential of particles in liquids can be determined by electrophoretic light scattering. This document outlines the requirements for a full Laser Analyser System which will be split into two lots. Suppliers can bid for one or both lots. - Lot 1: Laser Diffraction System Particle Size Analyser with Integrated Image Analyser - Lot 2: Nano Particle Size and Zeta Potential Analyser.
