The City of London Corporation invites Tenders to provide a submission for the provision of Wet Forensic Services under 3 Lots. Lot 1 – DNA PACE, Examination, Recovery and Profiling Lot 2 – Drug identification and Analysis Lot 3 – Toxicology Casework and Toxicology Analysis of Biological Samples The duration of the contract is 48 months, subject to the right of the City (at its sole discretion) to exercise its right to extend the Contract by up to 24 further months. The maximum length of the contract is therefore 72 months. Lot Lot 1: Lot 1 – DNA PACE, Examination, Recovery and Profiling The City of London Corporation invites tenders to provide a submission for the provision of Wet Forensic Services under: Lot 1 – DNA PACE, Examination, Recovery and Profiling This lot will be used for the provision of profiling PACE DNA samples and submitting the resulting profile for search and potential inclusion on the National DNA Database (NDNAD) as well as casework, interpretation, comparison and analysis including but not limited to handwriting, footwear and trace evidence. Lot 2 – Drug identification and Analysis Quantify or count submitted substances and identify any drugs and/or associated additives, in line with the City of London Police Forensic Strategy. Lot Lot 3: Lot 3 – Toxicology Casework and Toxicology Analysis of Biological Samples The City of London Corporation invites tenders to provide a submission for the provision of Wet Forensic Services. Lot 3 – Toxicology Casework and Toxicology Analysis of Biological Samples This lot will be utilised in cases where toxicology is the sole or key requirement of the investigation. This will include unexplained/suspicious deaths and sexual offences, both of which will require results to be provided in a timely fashion. Provide an analytical service to analyse a blood or urine sample for the presence of common drugs of abuse or alcohol and quantify concentrations. If required, to interpret the effects of identified substances on behaviour, including road traffic offence samples. Further details can be found within the specification documentation.
