Medite RFT for Supply and Installation of a Fire Suppression System for Critical Motor Control Centre (MCC) at MEDITE Europe DAC ‘22

Tender description

MEDITE Europe DAC is looking for the Supply and Installation of a Fire Protection System for Critical Motor Control Centre. Please note that the successful contractor is responsible for the specification, supply, installation, and commissioning of a new fire suppression system for a large MCC critical for the operation of the Medite site. Medite require protection for the electrical control panels from the risk of extensive fire damage by installing a suppression system that will stop a fire at source once detected. This suppression system must also be integrated into the existing site fire alarm system. The Contractor is responsible for the following Specification The contractor will specify the suppression solution which may include full room suppression or local to each panel. The contractor will detail the reasons why a particular solution is proposed. Supply & Installation The contractor will supply all components of hardware and software for the solution proposed in the time set out. The contractor will be responsible for the full installation and commissioning of the new system in the time set out by the Client. Design and Certification The design, equipment, installation, testing and maintenance of the system shall be in accordance with the applicable requirements in the latest edition of the following codes and standards: • NFPA No. 2001 - Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems • NFPA No. 70 - National Electrical Code • NFPA No. 72 - Standard for Protective Signaling • Factory Mutual Approval Guide • UL Listings Quality Assurance Manufacturer • The manufacturer of the suppression system hardware and detection components shall be ISO 9000 registered. • The name of the manufacturer shall appear on all major components. • All devices, components and equipment shall be new, standard products of the manufacturer’s latest design and suitable to perform the functions intended. • All devices and equipment shall be CE marked. Installer • The Installer shall be deemed competent by the su
