Facilities service for the Health Research Board

Tender description

The Health Research Board (HRB) is a state agency that supports research and provides evidence to prevent illness, improve health and transform patient care. The HRB has 80 staff. Our annual budget is in excess of €45m and we manage a research investment portfolio of approximately €200m. The agency is funded mainly by the Department of Health, and Board members are appointed by the Minister for Health. The HRB has a premises at Grattan House, 67- 72 Lower Mount Street, Dublin 2 and has offices across floors 0-3 within this building . The majority of the work detailed in this tender will occur at this premises but there is currently also a requirement for maintenance work in the year 2022 only at our Baggott Street premises. This work may be for a short period or may be for the twelve month period. Requirements The HRB invites tenders for the provision of general on-site facilities services for a thirty-six calendar month period commencing on the date of appointment. The HRB retains the right to extend the contract for a further twelve months. This will be subject to a satisfactory annual performance review. If for any reason it is not possible to award the contract to the designated successful tenderer emerging from this competitive process, or if having awarded the contract, the contracting authority considers that the successful tenderer has not met its obligations, the contracting authority reserves the right to award the contract to the next highest scoring tenderer on the basis of the terms advertised. This shall be without prejudice to the right of the contracting authority to cancel this competitive process and/or initiate a new contract award procedure at its sole discretion
