Training for Inspectors of Burial, Cremation and Funeral Directors

Tender description

The Burial and Cremation Team is progressing with implementation of the Burial and Cremation (Scotland) Act 2016 (the ‘2016 Act’). A key component of this is developing an inspection regime which will include burial authorities, cremation authorities, and funeral directors. This inspection regime will also interact with a new licensing scheme for funeral directors, as part of the Scottish Government’s wider regulation of the funeral sector under the 2016 Act.
