The provision of Concession Catering Services to Coláiste Bríde, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford

We require the provision of a sustainable (evolving process) healthy, balanced and nutritious catering service to the school community at affordable prices. It is intended to award a contract to a single service provider. Coláiste Bríde requires the provision of healthy, balanced and nutritious catering service to students at affordable prices. A high quality, flexible and responsive service is required combined with continuous improvement and innovation for the 33 weeks of the year on which the school operates (School calendar will be issued to the successful tenderer). Users of the canteen will be mainly comprised from the student population but will include teaching and ancillary staff and authorized visitors to the school. Coláiste Bríde will receive DEIS funding from the beginning of the 2022/2023 school year. For further information please review the School Meals Scheme. Coláiste Bríde welcomes all proposals on the selling of the food and beverages in the canteen however it should be noted that the menu must be in line with the school’s draft Healthy Eating Policy and in line with the Nutrition Standards for Hot School Meals that are published by Healthy Ireland, Department of Health. Promotion, marketing and educating the customer base is key to the success of the service provision by the service provider. The service provider may also, with notice, provide tea/coffee and/or light snacks for several events that may arise from time to time out of the ‘normal’ hours associated with the school e.g., staff meetings, board meetings, visiting groups, parent teacher meetings, sporting events. The school operates an after-school study programme attended by approx. 100 students.
