The ZERO2FIVE Food Industry Centre at Cardiff Metropolitan University is seeking to purchase an instrument capable of both whole genome and next generation sequencing analysis, primarily for the identification of bacterial isolates (average genome size 2-3 Mb) and subsequent evaluation of drug resistant regions.There are various reasons for purchase that are both multipurpose and cross disciplinary.The primary purpose is to evaluate serotypes of bacteria within food processing sites, specifically listeria colonies.
