Provision of Port Security Personnel

Tender description

Dun Laoghaire Harbour was transferred into the ownership of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council in 2018. Prior to, and since this transfer, Cruise Ship Business in Dun Laoghaire was increasing year on year. The Covid-19 pandemic prevented Cruise Ship visits in 2020 and 2021, however since April 2022 they have now resumed. Dun Laoghaire Harbour is expecting in the region of 65 ships in 2022 and over 75 in 2023. Dun Laoghaire Harbour is subject to the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code), which requires Ports and Ships to have various security provisions in place. As a result of this, Dun Laoghaire Harbour is tendering for the provision of suitably trained security personnel to assist in the provision of security services in 2022 and beyond.
