3.1 JMNIAN is the current network of choice for experimentation, Test and Validation, pre-deployment and training by UK Defence and its Allies. The Network has up to 50 Points of Presence throughout the UK and overseas, with gateways to various security domains. The JMNIAN network is a vital capability tool which is relied upon by the UK forces to support their Defence Operational Training requirements, often incorporating joint working with international Allied forces, through a fully interoperable capability. Over several years on in-service use, the JMNIAN network has proven to be a capable, reliable, and productive resource resulting in an expansive list of enduring and episodic initiatives that depend upon JMNAIN network availability.
