Provision of Canteen and Catering Services at Eurofound

Tender description

The main purpose of this procedure was to contract a friendly, efficient provision and timely delivery of high-quality canteen and catering services at Eurofound as outlined in the tender specifications. The main purpose of the hospitality service is to provide balanced, healthy and tasty food to staff and its visitors. Lot 1: The contractor is expected to provide the following services to Eurofound: — on-going staff service (both breakfast and lunch) in the canteen. Three levels of service are envisaged (options): minimum, medium, maximum; — ad-hoc catering service for conferences, meetings and other events. TUPE or the Transfer of Undertakings Directive of 1977, which became part of Irish law by the European Communities (Safeguarding of Employees' Rights on Transfer of Undertakings) Regulations, 1980, protects the rights of employees where the business in which they are employed is transferred to a new owner, and is applicable to this contract.
