Changing Futures Trauma Therapist

Tender description

Psychological therapy for beneficiaries of the Changing Futures programme. The Changing Futures programme is a £64 million joint initiative by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK. The fund is for local organisations to work in partnership to better support those who experience multiple disadvantages, including homelessness, substance misuse, mental health issues, domestic abuse, and contact with the criminal justice system. It will run from July 2021 to March 2024 and includes additional funding for 15 local areas to test new ways of working. Sheffield is one of these areas and we are excited to take this opportunity to build a lasting partnership to better address issues of multiple disadvantage. For the purposes of this programme, this is defined as adults who experience three or more of: • Homelessness • Substance misuse • Mental health issues • Contact with the criminal justice system • Domestic abuse. These individuals may also face other challenges and disadvantages, including poverty, discrimination, ill health and disability and/or learning disability. Our intention is to transform our service design and delivery at all levels – system, service and individual – through partnership between the key agencies and organisations that work with this cohort of people. A continuous process of listening, learning and collaborating to find solutions will underlie this transformation.
