Spaceport Cornwall Stand Design & Build Farnborough Airshow 2022

Tender description

Spaceport Cornwall (SPC) is a consortium made up of Cornwall Council, Virgin Orbit and Goonhilly Earth Station Ltd to provide the UK’s first satellite launch from Cornwall Airport Newquay in Summer 2022. The project successfully secured £20M of funding from Cornwall Council, UK Space Agency, Virgin Orbit, the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership and the European Development Fund and is now moving towards delivery of the first launch from UK soil this year. With support of the ERDF, Cornwall Council has embarked on the development of the Centre for Space Technologies (CST) located at Cornwall Airport Newquay. The project is one element of the broader Spaceport Cornwall programme, establishing facilities, infrastructure and services to support satellite launch operations and the research and development of satellite and launch system technologies. Cornwall Council now require a specialist consultant to design and build an exhibition stand for Spaceport Cornwall in the dedicated Space Zone at Farnborough International Airshow 2022.
