Summary of the work The specialist will need to be a highly experienced (Practitioner level) ServiceNow Developer. Managing day to day development/design of features and applications, contributing towards the design programme milestones. Upholding DWP values and working within Government Digital Standards. Specialist role Developer Expected Contract Length 12 months with an optional extension period of up to 2 months Latest start date Monday 21 March 2022 Maximum Day Rate Up to £750 ex VAT per day. Standard 8 hour working day, includes expenses to base location agreed with DWP . This role is Inside IR35 Who Speclialist Work With DWP ServiceNow developers -Third parties/internal teams supporting/developing integration and automation between ServiceNow and other products -All deliverables will be agreed between the DWP Digital Delivery Teams and chosen supplier What Specialists Work On The specialist will need to be highly experienced (Practitioner level) with the ServiceNow product, able to deal with the day to day development and design of features and applications within the platform and contribute towards the design of the DWP place programme milestones - Specialist will build, configure & develop ServiceNow platform improvements (meeting supplied requirements and deliverables) around platform capability/usability/stability - New feature discovery; support business analysts/designers to investigate/guide requirements for new capabilities - Software Development Lifecycle Process - Service enhancement and new service delivery to the required standards - Lead integration and automation between Estate products Skills & Experience • Information Security (DDaT) Problem Management (DDaT) Service Focus (DDaT) Technical Breadth (DDaT) • ITIL Qualification or experience/skills Demonstrate experience of working in a large scale organisation and/or Government or Public Sector installation of Service Now • Experience of delivering new configuration and functionality to the ServiceNow Production instance in line with the DWP Software Delivery Lifecycle. • Ability to complete stories assigned or escalate blockers to ensure that development is completed to expected standards and are delivered within timescales Attend and participate in Agile ceremonies. • Ability to complete development of user stories to the DWP definition of “Done”. • Experience in building, configuring and implementing ServiceNow features, applications and integrations • Experience of reviewing code and configuration changes made by other members of the delivery team to ensure compliance with DWP Standards • Providing support and guidance to members of the delivery teams and acting as a point of technical escalation • Experience of building and testing simple integrations, or can work on more complex integration as part of a wider team • Experienced in JavaScript within the ServiceNow platform, knowledge of the Glide API’s. – Working Level • Current ServiceNow platform Certification • Minimum of 2 years’ hand on Development experience on the platform • Service Experience in configuring and developing features and applications within the ServiceNow product. • Core Platform – Level 3 (Practitioner) ITSM Module – Level 2 (Working) • Project and Portfolio Management module – Level 1 (Awareness) ATF Configuring and maintaining – Level 1 (Awareness) Integration Hub – Level 1 (Awareness) • Self-Service Portal – Level 1 (Awareness) Virtual Agent & NLU – Level 1 (Awareness) Performance Analytics – Level 1 (Awareness) • Technical Skills: Information Security (DDaT) Problem Management (DDaT) Service Focus (DDaT) Technical Breadth (DDaT) • 3rd Line Support for incidents, problems and changes Nice to Haves • Agile Development • Knowledge of Angular. HTML, CSS Work Location DWP Digital Hub sites : 2 St Peters Square, Manchester, Peel Park, Blackpool, Quarry House, Leeds, Kings Court, Sheffield or Benton Park View, Newcastle Working Arrangments Specialist will work 5 working days per week. The specialist will be mandated to attend site 40% of their working time in line with DWP's Hybrid working policy working remotely for the remainder of their time. Days of attendance on site will be as determined by DWP management. We have a candidate who might be perfect for what you are looking for – They have also worked for DWP as servicenow developer in the past.The problem is that they need sponsorship to come back to UK.We do have a sponsorship license and can sponsor them,but the visa process might take upto 2months-Is it possible for them to work remotely till then or if the start date can be moved till they get their visa? Is this arrangement something you can consider? No I'm afraid not
