Summary of the work The specialist will be an experienced Content Designer capable of working in a matrix environment to understand user needs, and work collaboratively to design clear, compelling and impactful communications campaigns. Specialist role Content designer Expected Contract Length 6 months with an optional extension period of up to 2 months Latest start date Monday 4 April 2022 Maximum Day Rate Up to £550 ex VAT per day. Standard 8 hour working day, includes expenses to base location agreed with DWP . This role is Inside IR35 Who Speclialist Work With The specialist will work with stakeholders across Technology Services including Product Owners and Delivery teams. Within the team they will work with Digital Engagement Managers, other Content Designers and Delivery Managers. What Specialists Work On The specialist will work with Digital Engagement (Comms) Managers, Product Owners and Delivery teams to understand the technology being delivered along with the impact on the user. The specialist will work with the teams to develop content which effectively communicates the change to affected stakeholders. The specialist will work with Digital Engagement and Delivery colleagues within the Change & Adoption team to design and deliver communications campaigns. Typically this will involve content being created and distributed through the delivery lifecycle and across multiple channels (E-Mail, Intranet, Multimedia). Skills & Experience • Experienced Content Designer with demonstrable experience of creating user facing multimedia content • Lead / facilitate workshops to drive actionable outcomes • Effectively challenging to act as the advocate for users and their journeys when creating content with stakeholders • Working knowledge of the OASIS framework and ADKAR (Prosci) • Able to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to understand user behaviour, feedback, and co-design content to meet those needs • Has experience of managing or leading people within a team, ensuring work quality, guiding and mentoring regarding best practice Nice to Haves • Understands the social and technological context for government services • Demonstrate experience of working in a large scale organisation and/or Government or Public Sector Work Location Primarily at the DWP Digital Corporate Hub2- St Peters Square, Manchester - although there may be a requirement to work from other DWP locations in the North West. Working Arrangments Specialist will work 5 working days per week . Attendance on site will be 40% of the specialist's time in accordance with DWP's Hybrid working policy. The remainder of the specialist's time will be working remotely .
