C001894 Delivery of accredited modules for General Practice Nursing

Tender description

Delivery of one or more accredited modules relevant to nurses working in general practice (see Table 1). The content of modules has been informed by an educational needs analysis (ENA) which was completed in May 2021 (available at https://www.nes.scot.nhs.uk/our-work/general-practice-nursing-gpn/). More detailed ENA results are available on request. Funding is for GPNs; however, these modules may also be of interest to other nurses, particularly those working in primary care settings such as district nurses, nurse practitioners and advanced nurse practitioners. Lot 1: Lot 1 Diabetes Outcome – Participants will have enhanced evidence-based knowledge and skills to support the assessment and management of patients and their families living with Diabetes Lot 2: Lot 2 Minor illness Outcome – Practitioners will have enhanced evidence-based knowledge and skills to triage, manage and refer patients presenting with minor illnesses Lot 3: Lot 3 Minor injuries Outcome – Practitioners will have enhanced evidence-based knowledge and skills to triage, manage and refer patients presenting with minor injuries Lot 4: Lot 4 Sexual Health Outcome- Practitioners will have the evidence-based knowledge and skills required to deliver safe and effective sexual and reproductive health care in community and primary care settings. Lot 5: Lot 5 Long Term Conditions Generic Outcome – Practitioners will have the enhanced evidence-based knowledge and skill to confidently lead a long-term conditions service within a primary care setting
