The equipment required is an optical imager for the assessment and measurement of tumour size in a mouse model of brain tumours. The equipment should be highly sensitive with the capacity to detect a luciferase-derived bio-luminescent (or GFP-) signal with a background subtraction capability for minimising auto-fluorescence with spectral un-mixing capacity. Lot 1: The equipment required is an optical imager for the assessment and measurement of tumour size in a mouse model of brain tumours. The equipment should be highly sensitive with the capacity to detect a luciferase-derived bio-luminescent (or GFP-) signal with a background subtraction capability for minimising auto-fluorescence with spectral un-mixing capacity. The equipment should be compatible with an isoflurane anaesthesia set up, also have a heated stage for small animal use. The supplying company should also be in a position to deliver a full service contract for the equipment at the University and provide full technical support. Due to this being unique to this supplier, hence the reason for the award without prior publication.
