Tender description

Perth and Kinross Council have set a target to undertake a number of Route Action Plans (RAPs) on its strategic A-class road network this financial year, 2021/22. The Route Action Plans aim to analyse a road as whole in order to identify any road safety improvements that can be made to improve road safety across the route. These road safety improvements should reduce collision and casualties across the Perth and Kinross Council Road network. A key set of data for these RAPs is traffic survey data. The traffic survey data will be used to determine the flow of traffic, types of vehicles and the compliance to speed limits on specific routes. The counts will provide important information on vehicle speeds and traffic volumes.
