Tender description

Number of shop parade enhancement works at 4 locations in Barrow-in-Furness Cumbria. Brief summaries of the work to be undertaken at each shop parade location are as follows: D Nos. 108 - 120A Mill Lane, Walney, Barrow-in-Furness LA14 3NT - Removal of metal security barriers and gates to front entrances - Reglazing of windows adjacent flat entrance doors and redecoration of recess walls, windows and doors - Canopy upgrading works comprising renewal of waterproof covering, fitting of new fascia and soffits, new electric lighting - Over-cladding of existing roof fascia and soffit boards with new upvc fascia and soffit boards to front and both gable elevations - Renewal of existing upvc rainwater gutters and down pipes (existing cast iron rainwater pipes are to be retained) - Renewal of flat roof coverings to the single-storey fish and chip shop and adjacent link building, including new fascias - Roughcast rendering of existing facing brickwork to the single-storey fish and chip shop and adjacent link building Brief summaries of the work to be undertaken at each shop parade location are as follows: (Cont'd) A Nos. 102 - 124 Lesh Lane, Newbarns, Barrow-in-Furness LA13 9EQ - Canopy upgrading works comprising renewal of waterproof covering, fitting of new fascia and soffits, new electric lighting - Renewal of existing small timber windows adjacent first floor flat ground floor entrance doors with new upvc windows - Renewal of roughcast render to walls and soffits in recesses at first floor flat ground floor entrance areas and subsequent masonry paint decoration - Redecoration of existing roof eaves fascia/soffit boards, rainwater gutters and down pipes to front elevation - Replacement of existing flag paving to pavement with new tarmac surfacing - Provision of bollards to prevent vehicular access to pavement - Sundry repair works to rear elevation (Provisional Sum allowance) B Nos. 28 - 48 Middlefield, Ormsgill, Barrow-in-Furness LA14 4BX - Renewal of existing security roller shutters with new electrically operated roller shutters to various retail units (Chinese Bliss Garden, Best Kebab, Cohens Chemist, Sweet Treets and Best One Store) - Roughcast render to existing brickwork elevations to yard area at rear of No. 28 (Council MCU Office and Store) - Replacement of existing concrete surfacing to yard area at rear of No. 28 (Council MCU Office and Store) with new tarmac surfacing C Nos. 1 - 19 Ruskin Avenue, Dalton-in-Furness LA15 8LU - Renewal of existing upvc rainwater gutters and pipes to front elevation - Redecoration of existing timber roof eaves fascia and soffit boards - Masonry paint decoration to the existing roughcast render above the shop fronts up to roof level - Renewal of existing upvc doors and sidelights to first floor flat ground floor entrances - Renewal of existing tarmac surfacing to pavement - Provision of new mono-pitch steel framed glazed canopy to full length of shop parade including associated foundation and rainwater drainage Additional information: Contract Award subject to 30 day standstill period.
