Supply and Delivery of Automotive Batteries and for the safe removal and disposal of Obsolete Batteries

Tender description

For this procurement the Director of Transport proposes to offer a fixed price, one (1) year drawdown contract from the date of issue of the letter of award, with the option to extend for a further one (1) year period, with a possibility of a further two (2) such extension, subject to review and agreement on prices for each year. Either party may cancel the contract by giving fourteen (14) days’ notice in writing of intention to terminate the contract. Delivery will be to the Officer in Charge, Transport Technical Stores, Vehicle Base Workshops, DFTC, Curragh Camp, Co Kildare, Ireland. Purchase Orders will be raised to meet actual demands. All Automotive Batteries supplied under this contract must be NEW and unused and must be of good quality and meet or surpass all Irish and EU Standards and Regulations pertaining to such supplies. Tenderers are invited to include in their proposal any other consideration that may be deemed appropriate and / or beneficial in relation to this competition there by aiding to ensure that the Director of Transport meets all legislative requirements in relation to the safe disposal of hazardous waste.
