Tender description

The Powder Morphology Assessment System is to be equipped with an automated flow system capable of analysing both wet (0.02µm to 2mm particle size range) and dry (0.24µm to 2000µm particle size range) powders. Broadly speaking, the system will be able to analyse a given powder in 10-90 seconds. The flow system will automatically re-circulate, de-aerate, auto-dilutes and pre-circulate. In addition, a built-in turbulence mode will be required to ensure all particles are constantly moving within the flow. Also, a wash feature will be essential to ensure the walls of the vessel are cleaned after powder analysis in order to avoid contamination. All optical configurations on the system will have full Particle Size Detection (PSD) and accurate shape analysis capabilities. Equipment parts in contact with powder samples should be made from resistant materials. It is essential for the system to be equipped with a PC on which the relevant software is installed and an industrial type of dust class H vacuum cleaner.
