HEFFER is a capability which was accepted into operational service with 11EOD Rgt in 2019. HEFFER is built around an ENVELOP SDR platform and has significant flexibility in order to be able to be adapted for additional tasks. HEFFER currently provides the co-located HEFFER operator information on all Cellular technologies and bands, which are detected in operation. ISLAY is a project to demonstrate a more dynamic and interactive capability which would allow the User to gain further assurance while on EOD tasks and significantly improve and speed up information flow from the ICP to other stakeholders. HONEYBLOOM aligns this demonstrator with the LCA. The Land CEMA Architecture (LCA) is a set of open standards that are designed to enable "every platform a sensor" and "multi-function RF effectors". This notice advises that the Authority has decided to negotiate a contract with the named supplier on a single source basis, and is published for reasons of transparency.
