Tender description
NHS South West London CCG is inviting expressions of interest from suitably experienced and capable providers, to provide low complexity, high volume physiotherapy to all body parts, which will form a key element of an Integrated Musculoskeletal (MSK) Service to patients within the borough of Croydon. The service model is likely to involve a digital first element, with a blended offer of virtual, group and face to face patient sessions. The service provider will work in close liaison with the local NHS Trust - Croydon Health Services NHS Trust and the Croydon GP Collaborative (CGPC). Current thinking is that the contract may have an initial duration of 3 years, with potential to be extended for up to a further 2 years: up to 5 years overall being possible. The modelled contract value is circa £1.2m per year to meet the needs of Croydon's population, with 5 years potentially being worth up to £6m. A competitive procurement is being assumed (subject to market interest and capability), which is currently scheduled to commence by March 2022 to enable a single contract to cover the community physiotherapy requirement. The contract is likely to be awarded by June 2022 to enable service commencement from October 2022. Lot 1: NHS South West London CCG is inviting expressions of interest from suitably experienced and capable providers, to provide low complexity, high volume physiotherapy to all body parts, which will form a key element of an Integrated Musculoskeletal (MSK) Service to patients within the borough of Croydon. The service model is likely to involve a digital first element, with a blended offer of virtual, group and face to face patient sessions. Additionally, the CCG is considering reserving a right to expand the scope and value of the contract during its term, to facilitate access to this community-based capacity, by local NHS Trusts, as may be assessed as required by the South West London integrated care system. This may have potential to increase the overall contract value up to £12m over 5 years, although this is not guaranteed. Interested providers should note that the CCG is reviewing what suitable NHS premises may become available to offer to the service provider(s), however interested providers should assume a responsibility to identify their own premises, which will need to enable appropriately accessible services to Croydon patients. A competitive procurement is being assumed (subject to market interest and capability), which is currently scheduled to commence by March 2022 to enable a single contract to cover the community physiotherapy requirement. The contract is likely to be awarded by June 2022 to enable service commencement from October 2022. The CCG wishes to understand the views of interested providers, particularly in relation to the CCG's refreshed commissioning intentions for this community provide physiotherapy element of an integrated MSK service. Responses to this invitation for expressions of interest are likely to initiate follow-up engagement by the CCG as well as sharing of developing documentation such as service specification and commercial modelling ahead of any procurement process.
