<p>PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. IT IS NOT A TENDER PROCESS.</p> <p>Buckinghamshire Council is undertaking a preliminary market engagement exercise prior to tendering for services for temporary Alternative Education Provision (AEP) placements. Suppliers are invited to participate in this exercise by completing the attached questionnaire. This will help the Council understand the market. The information obtained from this exercise may be used to inform the Council&rsquo;s approach to the procurement process it undertakes for the delivery of these services.</p> <p>As such, this notice does not formally signify the beginning of a procurement process and does not constitute commitment to undertake a procurement exercise. In the event that the Council decides to commence a formal procurement exercise a separate Contract Notice will be issued.</p> <p>The Council has a statutory duty to provide education for pupils who, because of exclusion, illness or other reasons, would not otherwise receive suitable education. The Council currently commissions a range of organisations to fulfil these obligations on its behalf. In addition to the existing providers the Council is exploring additional provision for temporary placements through virtual online education and in-person tuition. The Council is keen to explore both options or a blended provision that will assist a young person to re-integrate into formal education. Buckinghamshire Council is committed to ensuring that all our children and young people receive high quality alternative provision to meet their individual needs.
