Tender description

Kildare County Council as Contracting Authority, Client, and Employer is seeking to establish a multiparty framework by open procedure for landscape architecture services for various projects in Kildare. The framework will consist of two lots(see details below). Applicants can submit tenders for one or both lots. Lot 1: Landscape architecture services for projects with an estimated construction costs of >EUR 500 000. Lot 2: Landscape architecture services for projects with an estimated construction cost of <EUR 500 000. The initial competition will be based on a design for Caragh Court Roundabout. See contract documents for full details of both lots. Lot 1: Landscape architecture services for projects with estimated construction costs of >EUR 500 000. The initial competition to establish this will be based on developing a masterplan for 38 acres in Sallins. The lands are located to the west of the town between the Grand Canal, new Sallins by pass Road and the river Liffey. The lands are to be developed to cater for the leisure and amenity organisations in the town, but also cater for informal passive and active recreation. The project will require the successful company to also provide the following additional services. These can be provided in house or by the use of contracted specialists. — project management services; — project supervisor for design process; — engineering services — civil, structural, mechanical and electrical services; — quantity surveyor; — architectural services — including both architecture and conservation architecture services; — ecology services; — Arborist; — administration services; — CAD or similar services All these service providers which are required to implement the landscape design for the particular projects being tendered. The individuals, companies or partnerships required to provide these services will have to demonstrate that they have the required qualifications and experience to provide these services. The initial competition is for services for Stage: (i) preliminary stage; and (ii) design stage but future competitions using the framework may require services for stage; (iii) tender action and evaluation stage; (iv) construction stage; and (v) handover. Landscape architecture services for projects with estimated construction costs of <EUR 500 000. Projects which may form part of future mini tender competitions under this lot are the design of roundabouts, open spaces, community and sensory gardens, playground and natural play spaces design and landscaping projects within towns and villages in Kildare. Another area will be to assist with the preparation of design guidelines and standards relating to open space design and playground design. The initial competition to establish this will be based on developing a landscaping proposal for Caragh Court Roundabout, Naas.
