Tender description

The project seeks to commission advisors to assist Kirklees Council (KC) to deliver a number of work packages that lead to the award of a best value operate and maintain (O&M) Recycling and Waste Treatment Service Contract. The contract should be both efficient and sustainable, using existing operating facilities and infrastructure but with the possibility of additional work requirements. The contract will be consistent with the Council’s forthcoming Waste Strategy and flexible enough to meet modern waste resource operations, and changes to policy and collection systems. Opportunities for reuse and recycling are prioritised to achieve optimum recycling rates for Kirklees Council. Diversion from landfill should be maximised to contribute towards reducing the Council’s carbon footprint.
