This Prior Information Notice (PIN) has been issued to the open market to seek expressions of interest from suppliers who wish to participate in a market engagement exercise that will assist Essex County Council (ECC) in understanding the options for Bio Waste Disposal Services The services are currently being provided through a framework and include the treatment, transfer and transport of municipal bio-waste arising from the county of Essex. Essex County Council are investigation all future disposal options and are not limited to the operational constraints of the current framework. Lot 1: ECC are engaging with the market to shape the replacement of the current Bio Waste Disposal Services. To include the supply of the disposal/landfill areas for segregated municipal bio wastes as well as transfer and haulage. ECC has the intention to test the capabilities of the market at this time, to ensure we are gaging an educated program for these services. We are looking to engage with suppliers who have the ability to deliver all or part of the services that are currently managed under our 'Bio Waste Disposal' Framework in order to innovate and shape the future processes for the completion of this disposal whilst being the most competitive in pricing for the Essex Tax Payer. ECC are looking to speak to supply chain with capability in the following areas: Bio Waste Disposal, Landfill Operators, Waste to Energy Operators Additional information: Respondents will be selected to participate based on their range of relevant of experience and will have completed and returned the questions that will be issued once interest has been expressed via email to Natascha (details above) by 5pm on 9th March 2021.
