Sustainability Appraisal: LCDP2

Tender description

The Client is looking to establish a contract for the Sustainability Appraisal of the Well-Being impacts of the second all Wales Low Carbon Delivery Plan (LCDP2) framed around the Well-being of Future Generations Act (2015). Further to the Sustainability Appraisal (SA) completed against the first Welsh Government Low Carbon Delivery Plan for the first carbon budget (2016-20), Prosperity for All: A Low Carbon Wales; the aim of this project is to ensure that the social, cultural, economic and wider environmental impacts are fully considered and assessed alongside emission reduction in the development of the second All Wales Low Carbon Delivery Plan. To ensure that the plan for the second carbon budget (2021-25) continues to support the Government WFG objectives, the well-being goals and national indicators, an independent contractor shall again be appointed to evaluate the impacts of the policies and proposals put forward. The overall objective is to develop a Sustainability Appraisal report that provides a high level strategic overview of the second plan’s contribution to the Welsh Government’s commitments under the Well-Being of Future Generations Act for publication alongside the second all Wales Low Carbon Delivery Plan.
