Provision of Re-roofing at Talywain, Abersychan & Garndiffaith.

Tender description

Bron Afon is seeking up to two suitably experienced Principal Contractors to undertake re-roofing works including the replacement of fascia, soffits and rainwater goods. This tender has 2 lots Lot 1: Talywain Roofing (49 properties) Lot 2: Garndiffaith & Abersychan Roofing (44 properties) Contractors may bid for one or both lots. The existing roof construction consists of either slate (predominantly) or concrete/clay interlocking roof tiles on timber roofing battens and bituminous felt. The roofs contain hips, ridges and have numerous soil vent pipes, flues and chimneys penetrating through them. A period of 12 weeks has been allocated to complete a single lot. Should the contractor wish to undertake both lots the contract can be extended to 20 weeks. The tender will be awarded to the Most Economically Advantageous Tender. The contract will be undertaken using the JCT Minor Work Building Contract 2016 including Bron Afon’s standard prelims and amendments.
