Tender description

Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board (WWETB) (the “Contracting Authority”) invites tenders (“Tenders”) to this Request for Tenders (“RFT”) from economic operators (“Tenderers”). For the appointment of a single supplier to provide Project Management Consultancy services for the development and delivery of a new Outdoor Education, Training and Activity facility and associated programme for WWETB, in partnership with Wexford County Council as outlined in Appendix 1 to this RFT (the “Services”). WWETB intends to appoint a single supplier. In the event that the successful tenderer fails to conform to WWETB requirements or cannot provide specifications as required WWETB reserve the right to go to the second ranked tenderer on the panel. The Project Manager is to provide a consultancy/advisory role in the management of the development and delivery of a new Outdoor Education, Training and Activity facility and associated programme for WWETB, in partnership with Wexford County Council. Design and Construction of the new Outdoor Education Facility: Wexford County Council will manage the development of the building to include the following: detailed design and construction administration of a four storey building comprising, basement changing rooms and toilet facilities, ground floor reception area, first floor meeting rooms, second floor café, and roof terrace. It will also include a climbing hall fitted out with three different climbing walls up to 15 metres in height. Management of the Outdoor Education Facility: WWETB will lease the facilities from Wexford County Council and will manage all recreational activities available to the public, operate the café located (outsourced provision) on the facilities, reception cover for meetings and manage the educational and training programme delivery and activities to the public.
