The purpose of the requirement is to: 1. Identify what participation means in the youth justice context 2. Identify examples of good participatory practice (including co-creation with children) and meaningful engagement with children 3. Determine what methods and techniques are currently being used in relation to participation and co-creation with children 4. Develop resources to increase children's involvement in processes and decisions which affect them, which are bespoke to different elements of the youth justice system 5.
